Aerobic Exercise
Exercise is a big part of staying healthy and maintaining a proper weight level. A big point to keep in mind is to get the right amount of exercise. This means that you need to make sure that you are not too dormant and at the same time you do not want to be too active either. Here are some tips on aerobic exercise to help you lose weight and stay fit:
Tip 1: Stay at your target heart rate for 20 to 40 minutes
For most people the target heart rate is between 115 to 130 beats per minute. You want to make sure you maintain this rate of intensity for around twenty to forty. One way to know that you got a decent workout is whether or not you worked up a good sweat by the end of the session. However do not push yourself too hard and if you ever feel too much pain then be sure to stop and rest appropriately. If the pain continues then consult a doctor to make sure the exercise is ideal for you to perform.
Tip 2: Have fun
Enjoying your workouts will make a big difference in allowing you to follow your plans and keep working out until it becomes a habit at which point it will become easy. Add your favorite music to your workout sessions and vary the exercises you do. Joining a gym is a great way to get instant access to a variety of different exercise equipments so you do not get bored doing the same exercise all the time.
Tip 3: Workout the right amount
For most people the ideal amount of exercise is 3 to 5 times a week. You also need to take into account how active you are at your jobs. The more active you are the less additional exercise you will need. Do not think that more is better and work out every day. Your body needs time to recover from workouts so be sure to take some days off and be sure to get enough sleep.
Exercising too much can weaken your immune system which in turn can cause you to get sick very easily so be sure to rest and eat properly in order to recover fully from each exercise session. There are many ways to get a great aerobic exercise workout including playing sports like tennis or golf or going for a brisk walk or jog in the park outside if the weather is good.
